Prodigal God - Further Resources

Audio files of Tim Keller's sermons series on Luke 15 (aka The Prodigal God) are available online for free (click here, then click on "more media"). He brings in a challenging range of concepts that I touch on Sundays in the ABF, for those who are interested. Scroll down the page to resources for individuals on The Prodigal God page. If you prefer reading, you can purchase the book on Amazon.com.

If you're interested in the concept of heart idolatry that we discussed a few weeks ago, see a brief excerpt of Idols of the Heart and 'Vanity Fair' by David Powlison. If you want to look more into this, you can

Culture of Grace

Welcome to the blog for the Grace Steps ABF at Fellowship Bible Church, combining the gifts, leadership and good food of the In His Image and Sojourners ABFs.

Our meeting time is 2nd hour (10:45 a.m.) Sunday morning in Room 212.

We're beginning our new ABF with a study series on the parables of Luke 15, focusing mostly on the parable of the Prodigal Son. Most assume that "prodigal" means "wayward" or "disobedient." But it really means "wrecklessly extravagant."

As you can see, the parable may not be what you typically think.

We're using the biblical text (duh) and a video by Dr. Tim Keller, senior pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, Manhattan, NY, (yes, New York City) entitled "Prodigal God."
